🥈 in the Elite TT at Pro Road Nats 🇺🇸

This one is still a bit surreal. My first Road Nationals and first proper outdoor time trial. I knew the speed I had from the track would be helpful but in an event 10x longer than I’m used to, I was very unsure as to how long I’d be able to hold it all together. In the end, I was able to put down a ride I’m proud of in some epic conditions 🌧️

So thankful for all the people in my corner, the support and smiles that I’ve shared this weekend are everything 💙

If there was a question as to if the @ventumracing Tempus is fast, this is some good evidence 🏎️ And finally a big thanks to @chloedygert for sharing some 💅 to complete the speedy setup 😉🙏🏽

Lots more time on this rig recently.. seems to keep just going faster and faster. Excited to keep pushing the limits 🚀

Pan American Championships was one for the books this year 🇵🇾 Stoked to defend titles in both the Team and Individual pursuit 🥇🥇

Couldn’t be more thankful to @usacycling and the staff that make these awesome trips happen. Really a crazy amount of work to set us up for the best chances of success. 🥈in the Team Pursuit at the only UCI Track Nations Cup of the year in Turkey 🇹🇷

The conditions were super quick and we were excited to see how we would stack up and if we could crack out a new national record.

We were heat 9 of 16 so we knew that if we could go quicker than everyone before us, that would put us top 8 and we would move on to round 1.
In the qualifying round we rode to plan but were able to continually eke out a couple extra tenths per lap and when the dust settled we had rolled a 3:47.87… a new national record by 5 seconds and the fastest qualifier yet meaning we would move on to the rounds. As qualifying went on though, our name stayed at top as team after team failed to beat our time. When qualifying concluded, the shock when we realized we had qualified in first was surreal.

This meant we were to ride against the 4th place qualifying team(🇨🇭) and the winner would move onto the gold final. We put our heads back down (literally) and put down another ride we were proud of: 3:47.5 which put us into the gold final against AUS. This ride was likely the deepest I’ve ever gone on a pursuit effort 😵‍💫

In the gold final we knew we would have to go out swinging and we did just that. We went out ripping fast to give ourselves a chance at winning the thing and kept the pace rolling for a good while before the wheels began to come off for us and 🇦🇺 continued to rip to the line.

I couldn’t have been more surprised by the outcome and couldn’t be more proud of the boys for putting their full hearts into these efforts.

Overall I’m just immensely grateful for all of it: the opportunities, the ups AND the downs, the support, and people that make it all happen 🥹❤️

… and I’ve learned 3 Team Pursuits in one day is absolutely brutal

Individual Pursuit World Champs: 4:08.623 and an 8th place finish 🙏🏽🔥

Exciting to see a big step of progress in this event showing the work is paying off. I went out of the gate a bit hot with a 20.76 second opening lap but was able to settle in nicely as the ride progressed. This is always an interesting event trying to figure out the secret formula and I honestly love the complex simplicity of the event 🙏🏽

5th place in the Team Pursuit at Track World Champs 🔥

Our goal coming here was to qualify (top 8) and we did that and more. The US hasn’t qualified in 20+ years 😳

To miss going to the bronze final by 0.06 seconds stings. The number of things you can think of that could make 0.06 of a difference is… a lot. Fuel to the fire🔥

Now all eyes on the IP tomorrow 👀

- Leadville 100-

One of the gnarliest days ever to be had on a bike. Threw this one on the calendar as more of a “for fun” race and to see what all the hype was about. I’m overall stoked with how it went- I put myself in a good position through the bottom of the big climb of the day which was my goal. Didn’t have the legs from there through the end but was able to limp the last 60 miles in for a 6:53 finish time. Couldn’t have done it without all the cheers from an insane amount of fans and from the support from @bradley_wiggs @beritashby and the parents in the pits 🙏🏽

I told myself and many others I’d never do this race again but funny how faint the memory is just a few days out and now I’m wondering how I could go with just a little bit of tailored training and some altitude. Maybe I’ll see you again Leadville 🫡

Especially stoked for @larsson.johnson absolutely killing this race. This spring he set an ambitious goal to knock out Leadville and he did just that. Here’s to setting big goals and working super hard towards them 🎉

A weekend to remember. I raced 5 events and things came together quite nicely. I will not lie, I was a bit tentative jumping back on the bunch bike for the first time since Pan American Games in October, but ended up having quite a bit of fun in the mass start racing.

6th place in TP at the Milton Nation’s Cup with a 3:55.7

Results wise, this is a big jump for us. For some time we have been working at qualifying at a nations cup. To qualify, every team rides alone on the track and the top 8 teams move on to round 1. We were able to squeak off a qualification by hundredths of a second and move on to a second ride.

Both rides were PRs for us despite some sloppy riding, adding confidence that we are moving in the right direction.

It’s quite funny how each and every second of improvement is literally the result of hundreds of hours of work. Time to stack more bricks 🫡

🇺🇸Individual Pursuit Pan American Champion🇺🇸

Lined up for this one with a big goal and I was able to pull it off. In qualifying I clocked a 4:13.9 - setting a new track record and qualifying me for the gold final. I was able to back up the ride and secure the gold that evening after a tight race where I only pulled into the lead on the final lap.

So thankful for all the support and people who reached out after this one. I’ve got a lot of good people in my corner ❤️

A big step in the right direction with some rides I am proud to have been part of at Pan American Championships this week. En route to the Pan American title, were able to set a new @velosportsctr track record of 3:56.4 🚀

2023🔥👀

Pretty easy to look back at the year of memories and be immensely grateful for all the opportunities and experiences this year. I’m grateful for the highs but also the lows because those moments make the triumphs worth working for. Always thankful for a passion like cycling that has given me these opportunities.

I’m a big fan of always pushing for more and asking “What’s next? What’s next? What’s next?”
If you’re the same, remember to take the time to savor the moments as you’re in them and recognize how far you’ve come.

After the crash things were feeling good and I jumped in to the Team Pursuit. Although we were able to qualify 3rd, it was clear that my body was not responding well post crash and we made the decision to sit me out for round 1 and the finals.

I could not be more impressed or proud of the boys for a couple of great rides to secure the bronze 🥉 It’s pretty special to be part of such a rad group of humans 🙏🏽

Last week I raced the omnium at the Pan American Games in Santiago, Chile. After the scratch and omnium I was sitting in second but things changed quickly with a bit of a spill in the elimination. After this, I struggled to rally the confidence needed to stay in the mix. I made a few moves in the points race that had the potential to put me in a contending spot but simply couldn’t make anything stick.. I ended with 6th in a much abbreviated field, a huge disappointment. I’m working on keeping things in perspective but sometimes the setbacks sting deep.

Overall, I feel incredibly lucky to have had the opportunity to race at this incredible event and to walk away from that mishap without being seriously injured.

Full “😁😬” out at @parkcitypoint2point this past weekend. It’s a race I’ve always wanted to do and this year was finally the year 🙏🏽

Initially I was planning on using it as a cool adventure volume day and I rolled out -mostly- to that plan but then just steadily pushed the motor the rest of the day and found my way from top 20 to 4th. Thanks @jimmillertime and @zachcalton for calling the bluff 🤷🏼‍♀️

This has got to be one of the coolest events that exists - 75 miles , 10k of climbing and basically all single track. An event all cyclists need to experience at some point 🔥

World Champs 2023: Our Team Pursuit ride didn’t go to plan but there were many silver linings. Working on keeping it in perspective how incredibly lucky I am to even have had the opportunity to compete at this event -and to have the amazing support of so many.

Track nationals 2023 was truly something special. Including Qualis and finals, I raced 11 times in 5 days, some days racing starting at 9am and I’d leave the track after the evening session just before midnight (with a mid day break and siesta in the normatecs). I was definitely on my hands and knees by the end from lack of sleep and some extremely fast racing, as I think everyone was.

Overall, it went better than I could have imagined. I took 3 National titles in the individual pursuit, team pursuit, and the omnium and finished 3rd and 4th in the standalone scratch and points races, respectively.

Winning the omnium is possibly my most exciting race win ever. It was beyond unexpected as I had never raced one but you can count on me to always show up swingin and see what happens.

Coming in to this event I was excited for the TP and IP because I knew I could put up a strong fight but quite honestly I was quite scared about the mass start racing. The last, and only mass start race I had ever done was last summer and only a few laps in, there was a crash in front of me and I wrecked hard and did some damage to my labrum. With this in mind, my goal at nationals for the mass start racing was to gain experience, learn the flow, and have fun. I had no expectation of results… I’ll take that as a lesson that when you focus on the fun and love of the game, good things happen.

Also it was a pretty incredible feeling to be taking Elite titles at the same time as my boy @christopherblevs over at MTB nats, thanks for all the training days and good vibes buddy 🙏🏽

2023 Elite Individual Pursuit National Champion 🇺🇸

A few weeks ago at Pan American Champs in 🇦🇷 I had a bit of a breakthrough as to how to ride the IP well which took me to the bottom step of the podium behind some ripping Canadians.

I brought these new skills to track nats this past week and was lucky enough to earn myself a Stars and Stripes jersey. The part that was likely more exciting than the title, was that I was able to set a new track record, eclipsing the best time Ashton Lambie had ridden on this track (an absolute legend of the sport - think Bannister in running). To say this is an honor would be an understatement. A 4:15 on the day was something I was very stoked on.

Here’s to dreaming big and pushing limits wherever you go. And finally I couldn’t be more thankful to everyone I have in my corner supporting and believing in me, you’re amazing ❤️
